This morning, we held a graduation ceremony for our recruit class of 2025. 👏

These brave men and women have answered the call to serve, protect, and stand ready when the heat is on. Over the last year, they’ve been put to the test mentally, physically, and emotionally as they've trained to become full-fledged Tifton Firefighters.

They’ve learned the ropes, earned their stripes, and are fire-ready.

We're so proud of them, their teamwork, their hard work and determination.🎉

Tifton Fire Department and Tift County Fire/Rescue recently attended the Lithium-Ion Battery Emergencies course hosted by Rescue Redefined last Thursday and this past Monday.

As electric vehicles and lithium-ion battery systems become more common, training like this is critical to keeping our firefighters prepared for the unique challenges these incidents present.

A huge thank you to Pope, The Real Estate Company, LLC, Prince Toyota, and Jeff Fender Auto for allowing us to borrow their electric cars for the training.💪
