We are so excited for the dog show tonight! Join us at 6:00 for a high energy stunt dog show with Team Zoom Canine Entertainment! The furry rescue dog comedians will bring the laughs while performing amazing feats of agility!

Here are few things to know:
🐕 The show will take place at the East Green Amphitheater, so feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.

🐕 The show WILL go on if it is raining. Please bring umbrellas and dress for the weather just in case. It will not go on if there is lightning. We will announce any potential cancellation on our website and here on our page.

Last week, teens gathered to play an interactive museum mystery adventure! They solved puzzles and unlocked clues to uncover the robber and competed to see who could "escape" the museum first!

Our next teen program, "Paintings Gone Prehistoric," will be tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Give classic paintings a prehistoric twist by adding dinosaurs, volcanoes, meteors, and other unexpected surprises!

Last week's Family Storytime had us unearthing the world of gardening!

Through stories, songs, and hands-on activities, children explored how plants grow and discovered the joys of growing your own food and watching things bloom. We had a wonderful time learning about gardens together!

Long before modern tools, the Native Americans who lived in our region relied on the natural resources around them. Rocks such as slate and limestone, along with animal bones from deer and other wildlife, were shaped into useful tools for daily life.

Today's Throwback Thursday shows examples of tools created from those materials and recovered from a burial site near Old Fort. These artifacts offer a glimpse into the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the prehistoric peoples who once traveled through northeastern Seneca County in search of food and shelter.

Every Thursday this summer, stop by the Library anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. for drop-in games, activities, and hands-on fun!

Last week's "Roar and Explore: Dinosaur Adventures" featured Dino Goofy Golf, Dino Egg Toss, Dino Dash (a fun early literacy game!), and more.

Join us this Thursday, June 11, for "Dino Training Camp," where kids can find out if they have what it takes to be a dinosaur and survive in the wild! Stomp, roar, and complete exciting challenges like rescuing a dinosaur egg, navigating obstacles with T. rex arms, and more.

We hosted our very first summer reading event earlier this week with "Family Storytime!" Families heard stories, sang and danced, and watched a funny skit! They also enjoyed a game of “How Many Dinosaurs?” in which toy dinosaurs were used as units of measurement. Children estimated how many dinosaurs long various objects around the room were, then measured to see how close their guesses were.

After storytime, children rotated through a variety of dinosaur-themed activity stations. They created reading buddy bookmarks, completed an “egg-on-a-spoon” obstacle course to return dinosaur eggs to their mama, played Dino BINGO, and challenged themselves with dinosaur tangram puzzles!

"Family Storytime" will take place Tuesdays through July 21 at 10:30 a.m. Our next "Family Storytime" will be Tuesday, June 9!
