Not big gestures. Not perfect plans.
Just something practical that makes today easier.

Diapers. Wipes. Formula. Clothing. A meal.

That kind of support creates breathing room.
And sometimes breathing room is what keeps a family together.

Offer one baby or postpartum item to a parent who needs it, or post it in your local Buy Nothing group.

Because small, timely support can change the direction of someone’s life.

I've got nothing.
Advice to mitigate the pain? Nope.
This is gonna hurt like hell. Forever.
Some days won't be as bad....eventually. But it'll always hurt and those really intense, painful days still sneak up right when you think you're healing.

If new first/birth parents are saying these things- and they do en masse- I know the adoption of their infant was most likely unnecessary and uninformed.
I know the agency and attorney names. I know your motivation and it isn't humanitarian.
I cannot wait for the day when you are legislated and regulated out of your "profession" entirely. I will dance on your professional graves if only there could come a day.
No one should ever go into permanent separation from their baby via adoption without honest and sober information- that includes the aftermath of separation.
Stop with the silly "selfless" and "brave" nonsense. That doesn't keep a mom from the darkness of the abyss a year down the road of a lifelong journey you helped put them on.
