Early this morning at 03:00, FPFD with auto-aid from TRFD, was dispatched to the 11000 block of Lakeshore Drive in Fabius Township for a reported structure fire.

First arriving personnel arrived on scene within five minutes of dispatch and found a single-story residential structure with heavy smoke showing. A working attic fire was declared, and Newberg Fire Department was requested to respond with a tanker and additional manpower.

FPFD and TRFD crews made an aggressive interior attack and brought the fire under control within 15 minutes of arrival, despite extremely challenging weather conditions with temperatures at 17 below zero at time of dispatch.

No injuries were reported, and all occupants were able to safely exit the structure. We would like to thank TRFD, Newberg Fire Department and St. Joseph County Central Dispatch for their assistance on this incident

REMINDER THIS SATURDAY JULY 19th from 10-2!!!!!!

We are hoping the weather cooperates with us for the Open House and Car Show. BUT if the weather doesn’t go in our favor we will still have our the Open House inside the station nonetheless. So please stop out say hi and grab a bite to eat rain or shine! Hope to see you all there!
