Fire protection and advanced emergency medical services are provided to the citizens of Thorsby from the fire station located at 26 Minnesota Avenue. The department boasts an ISO Class rating of 3, which translates into insurance savings for all residents of the City. Thorsby Fire Department also has an Extension Training Facility with the Alabama Fire College, which provides firefighters with certification classes, and prospective firefighters the opportunity of recruit school.
