It is all smiles this morning as we participate in a statewide exercise today. Practice today includes station set up, remote HF operation, and passing of voice and data radio traffic between us, the State Emergency Operations Center and other neighboring jurisdictions. Always great to hear other agencies and organizations on the air!

This morning members came together to practice sending data messages over radio. This skill is critically important when sending and receiving updates, resources ordering and general communications out of and around the county in times of disaster. This allows us to pass complex messages in a more accurate way than reading them over the air. A big thanks to Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue- KVFR for allowing use of their facilities!
