Teens! Join us on June 3rd for this fun and creative painting challenge program - No art skills required! All teens who participate will receive a ticket for the end of summer Teen Prize Drawing! 🎨🖌

The Person-to-Person Paint Challenge invites teens to join in fun by painting their partner with their best artistic skills. Teens will enjoy the "art show" at the conclusion of the challenge where we will all laugh and share an interesting activity.

Hey Adults! Do you remember making shrink plastic crafts as a kid? Well, we've got a fun throwback program for you!

Drop in anytime between 5-7pm on June 12th, in the meeting rooms to make a shrink plastic craft (also known as Shrinky D***s!). Use a design provided or come up with your own design. Supplies provided. You can make a keychain, phone charm, earrings, and more! This program is part of the Adult Summer Reading Program, is free to attend, and is geared towards Adults.

From now through June 25, share how YOUR life, family, and community reflect the Spirit of America and your hope for the future.

Our Create America! Art & Writing Contest celebrates the nation's 250th anniversary with categories for everyone—K-2nd grade, 3rd-6th, 7th-12th, and adults 19+. Art, poetry, essays, stories—whatever your heart desires! Original works up to 250 words; art can be in any form, but should be your own original work. One entry per person.

Grab an entry form at our circulation desk and submit by 8pm on June 25. Winners announced July 1 and displayed at the Annual July 4 Celebration at the Lions Shelter, and then later at the library. Questions? 765-436-7348 or DM us!

Have you heard? Our Youth Summer Reading Kick-off program is Hobby Horsing! 🐴 🤠

This athletic sport originated in Finland, but we're bringing it right here to Thorntown, Indiana!

Hobby Horsing USA is a dynamic PE performance and dance program designed to enhance locomotor skills, balance, and coordination through engaging fitness activities for kids. Hobby horses promote physical education fun, combining hobby horse movement, music, and dance to create a unique learning experience. This is a fun program for youth of all ages.

This program will be held in the east parking lot of the library. Hobby Horses will be provided for attendees during the program, while supplies last. In the event of inclement weather the program will be held indoors in the lower level meeting rooms.
