Thornton Fire was proud to support recently promoted Engineer Boyer, who continues to serve our country as a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

On Saturday, Chief Fearn had the opportunity to represent Thornton Fire and join Engineer Boyer for a Black Hawk flight over the Denver metro area, courtesy of the Colorado Army National Guard.

Experiences like this are a great reminder of the strong connection between military service and the fire service — built on teamwork, commitment, readiness, and service to others.

Congratulations again to Engineer Boyer on his recent promotion, and thank you to the Colorado Army National Guard for the incredible opportunity and continued partnership.

Getting Ready to go home….
 
If you’ve watched Formula 1 lately, you may have seen Kimi Antonelli pull off an incredible comeback from 19th place to 1st at Monza.
And then there’s this guy…  He may look a little like Kimi, and he may even have the racing suit, but when he says he’s “getting ready to go home,” we want to make one thing clear:
 
Your drive home on I-25 or any street is NOT a race.

You don’t need to go from 19th to 1st. There’s no podium waiting for you, and there’s definitely no trophy for getting home first.
 
• Slow down.
• Put the phone away.
• Buckle up.
• Leave plenty of room between you and the car ahead.
 
The best finish is getting home safely.

A crew of four Thornton Wildland firefighters were deployed to Wheatland, WY this morning to assist with the Moonshine fire and have been assigned to Division Romeo.

The Fire is actively burning in Division Romeo with multiple structures threatened as the fire burns west towards the City of Wheatland.

Congratulations on Your Retirement, Engineer Kamin! 🚒🎉

After 22 years of dedicated service with the Thornton Fire Department, Engineer Kamin is retiring!

For more than two decades, he has answered the call, served our community, and been part of the Thornton Fire family. Along the way, there have been countless calls, challenges, accomplishments, laughs, and memories made with the people who stood beside him.

A career in the fire service is about so much more than the years on the job. It’s about the people you meet, the friendships you build, and the fire family that becomes a part of your life.

Engineer Kamin, thank you for 22 years of service, dedication, and commitment to Thornton Fire and our community. We’re grateful for everything you’ve given to the department and wish you all the best in this next chapter!

🎉 20 Years of Service! 🚒

Time flies when you love what you do—and even faster when you get to do it alongside great people.

We’re celebrating some of our firefighters who have reached an incredible 20 years of service! Two decades of responding to calls, serving our community, supporting one another, and building friendships that go far beyond the fire station.

There’s something special about the fire service. The people you work with become your friends, your teammates, and your fire family. After 20 years, there are countless memories, stories, challenges, and laughs along the way and we’re grateful for every one of them.

Congratulations on 20 years of dedicated service! We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with Lieutenants Burela, and Rodriguez and Engineers Marlow and Engineer Oldham (not pictured) and grateful for all you’ve given to Thornton Fire and our community. ❤️🚒
