For over 10 years, our club has proudly continued the tradition of planting flowers at the flower bed beneath the Rotary Park sign. 🌸🌼

The City of Northglenn recognizes this effort as part of their “Flowerbed Partners” project, and it’s always a great way for our members to give back while helping keep our community beautiful.

Rotary Park itself carries special meaning to our club, as it was named by our founding members back in 1968. It’s wonderful to continue honoring their legacy through hands-on service projects like this year after year.

No matter how big or small the effort may be, giving back to the community is what Rotary is all about. Small acts of service, when done consistently and together, can make a lasting impact for generations to come.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help plant, w**d, and beautify the park. Your hard work and dedication truly make a difference in our community!

Another great year of giving back to our community through support for the four food banks serving Northglenn and Thornton. This year, our Rotary Club was proud to donate an incredible $9,000 to help local families and individuals facing food insecurity.

Moments like these are a reminder of the power of community, compassion, and coming together to make a real difference. We are grateful to be part of a club that continues to live out the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self,” and remains committed to helping those in need right here in our own neighborhoods.

Thank you to everyone who contributes their time, effort, and generosity to make these donations possible each year. Together, we are making an impact.

We’re incredibly honored to have partnered with the American Red Cross to host a local blood drive for our community—and what an amazing turnout! ❤️

Thanks to your support, we collected **58 donations**, helping provide life-saving blood to those in need. Every single donation has the power to make a real difference, whether it’s for accident victims, surgeries, or patients battling illness.

Blood drives like this are a reminder of how strong our community is when we come together for a cause bigger than ourselves. Even if you missed this one, we encourage you to donate at your local blood drive when you have the time—your donation could save a life.

Thank you again to everyone who showed up, donated, and helped make this event such a success!

Our club was honored to welcome Brian Mason, the District Attorney for Adams and Broomfield Counties at our meeting April 7th. He provided insightful information about exactly what his office provides for the citizens of the two counties, walking us through the entire criminal justice process. He's a wealth of knowledge about crime, prevention, the courts, and all types of criminal behavior that his office seeks to process in a variety of ways. We're grateful that he took the time to provide us with such valuable information.

Giving back to our community is at the heart of everything we do, and on April 22nd, you have a unique opportunity to provide the ultimate gift: the gift of life. We are proud to partner with the Red Cross for our upcoming blood drive, where every donation makes a profound impact on local lives.

And there’s even more impact behind every donation—once we surpass 30 pints, the American Red Cross will donate $10 to our Rotary Club for every additional pint collected. Those funds go directly back into our community through service projects like supporting local food banks, installing smoke detectors in mobile home parks, recognizing students through Student of the Month programs, and funding RYLA leadership opportunities for youth.

Beyond the immediate health benefits for patients in need, your participation helps strengthen and uplift our Northglenn and Thornton communities in a real, lasting way. It’s a powerful way to live out our motto of “Service Above Self” while investing in the future of our neighbors.

Whether you are a regular donor or this is your first time, we would love to see you there.

This month, we had the incredible honor of recognizing six outstanding students from the Adams 12 Five Star Schools across six different high schools.

Each student was nominated by their guidance counselor for their hard work, resilience, and commitment to never giving up — even when faced with challenges.

Their dedication, perseverance, and ambition truly represent the very best of our community. It’s inspiring to see young leaders pushing forward, staying focused, and building bright futures for themselves.

The Thornton/Northglenn Rotary Club is proud to celebrate these six remarkable students and wishes them continued success as they finish their high school careers and step into their next chapter. Your community is cheering you on! 👏🎓

📚💙 Big impact starts with little readers! 💙📚
The Northglenn Thornton Rotary Club is proud to share that we’ve contributed $1,000 to the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, in partnership with the Westminster Rotary Club and Commerce City Rotary Club.

Thanks to the power of Rotary collaboration, that $1,000 doesn’t stop there — it will be matched 100% by Rotary District 5450 and then matched again by the State of Colorado, turning our collective effort into an incredible $16,000 investment in early childhood literacy! 🙌

đź“– What does the Imagination Library do?
The program mails free, high-quality, age-appropriate books every month to children from birth until age five. These books help kids build early literacy skills while giving parents an easy, meaningful way to read with their children — creating strong routines, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

We’re proud to support a program that strengthens families, supports parents, and helps ensure more children start school ready to succeed. This is Rotary at its best: local action with a lasting ripple effect. 💛

Proud moment for the Rotary Club of Northglenn‑Thornton! 💙💛

We were honored to present $5,000 to the Adams 12 Five Star Foundation in support of their Career Pathways Fund, helping students gain hands-on skills and real-world experience for future careers.

We also loved hearing from three amazing students from FutureForward at Washington Square, representing their programs in Diesel Automotive Technology, Crime Scene Investigations & Law Enforcement, and Firefighting & EMT. The future is bright!

So grateful to support opportunities that empower our local youth and strengthen our community. 🌟

We recently welcomed Rebecca Bennett, Development Director for the Five Star Education Foundation, to our Rotary meeting for a meaningful conversation about Career & Technical Education opportunities for Adams 12 students.

We were also joined by Chris Gdowski, Superintendent of Adams 12 Five Star Schools, along with Marv Lewis, Principal of Washington Square, and Tessa Gargano, Assistant Principal of Washington Square.

Rebecca highlighted the Career Pathways Fund—a program our club proudly supports—which helps remove barriers such as program fees and required PPE so students can fully participate in career-focused programs with dignity and support.

Adams 12 students shared the programs they are involved in and what these opportunities mean for their futures. The meeting concluded with a panel-style discussion that reinforced the impact of community partnerships and local support.
