The June dates the THS Cannery will accept produce to be processed and canned are listed below!

Common items to have canned include tomatoes, peas, beans, squash, peaches and blueberries. Other items to consider canning are juices, spaghetti sauces (no meat), soups (no meat), salsa, applesauce and pie fillings! The cost is $1.25 per quart sized can.

Congratulations to these rising Seniors who were recently selected by the THS faculty and staff to act as Senior Adopters next school year! Senior Adopter duties include welcoming new students, touring visitors, and acting as student mediators among other tasks. They will begin their tenure this summer following their training!

With all the rain we’ve been getting lately backyard gardens are exploding! If your tomato plants are turning into jungles and your squash is taking over, Thomson High School has the perfect solution!

The THS FFA Cannery is officially opening for the season next week! Come turn that recent rainfall into stocked pantry shelves for the winter!

The Cannery, located at 802 Whiteoak Road, will open next Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Bring your tomatoes, peas, beans, squash, peaches and blueberries to be canned to enjoy all winter. Other items to consider canning are juices, spaghetti sauces (no meat), soups (no meat), salsa, applesauce and pie fillings! The cost is $1.25 per quart sized can.

Due to the high probability of dangerous weather on Friday evening, May 22, the Thomson High School Class of 2026 voted overwhelmingly to postpone graduation to Saturday morning, May 23.
