Students in the Rising Kindergarten Summer Transition Program will be getting some hands-on experience in healthy food preparation this summer. They will be participating in the Georgia-based Small Bites Adventure Club Veggie Ready initiative. Because of a scholarship offered to Bright from the Start transition sites, both classes will receive $750 worth of curriculum and fresh fruits and vegetables to conduct four food education demonstrations. Veggie Ready aims to engage 4-7 year olds in the discovery and preparation of healthy foods. More about the initiative can be found on its website: https://www.smallbites.club/veggie-ready.
