Road closed. South Street to Wells Road. Seek alternate route. Closed due to safety concerns. Yes we know our Detour sign is upside down!

I know that the roads are slushy. I know it’s warm. I have been out trying to move the slush. I am waiting for it to thaw more. The roads will get cleared. Just be patient.

As you all know we have been having issues with the DPW Truck. It was determined at Saturdays meeting that it is not worth fixing anymore and that it was time to Upgrade. Well…here is the upgrade. 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD. 6.6L Gas Engine. No more “Stinky Diesel” as some would say. Under 25,000 miles so it will last a long time.

Here’s the scoop! I know the roads are a mess!

Big plow truck needs a new tire. Was supposed to happen today. Miscommunication on the tire size. So hopefully tomorrow.

Small truck did not have 4 wheel drive. Now has a bandaid fix. New parts are ordered.

We have been out cleaning hydrants out and pushing back intersections. Thank you for your patience. Y’all have been amazing. We gonna keep on keeping on!

Huge shout out to Benzie County Road Commission. Our plow truck is down for the moment. Called them and asked if they could send a truck to scrape the Main roads through town. Thanks for the Support! Roads look great!!!

Big Plow Truck went down this morning with a hydraulic leak. Will be back up and running later today. Roads will be cleaned up Monday morning. Thank you for your understanding.
