Thomasville Police Department

Thomasville Police Department This page is to promote interaction between the community and the Police Department. That being said, this is not the place to report crime.

This is the official page for the Thomasville Police Department (Georgia). We created this page to increase communication with the Thomasville citizens and community. To report a crime, contact Dispatch at 229-226-2101. If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1! Because communication via social media constitutes a limited public forum, the City may hide, reject, or remove content deemed to vio

late this policy or any applicable law. Comments on City social media accounts containing any of the following forms of content are Restricted Comments and are subject to being hidden, rejected, or removed:

-Comments unrelated to the purpose and topical scope of the post to which the comment is responding.
-Comments expressly advocating direct violence or other illegal activity.
-Comments containing or linking to obscenity, which is defined as s*xually explicit and/or pornographic content that is patently offensive, appeals to prurient interest, and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.

-Comments containing links to malware and/or malicious content that affects the normal functioning of a computer system, server, or browser.
-Duplicate comments posted repeatedly within a short period of time.
-Comments containing actual defamation against a specifically named person or organization. Actual defamation means either defamation as determined by a court or comments that are patently defamatory by easily discovered facts.
-Comments that contain images or other content that violate the intellectual property or copyright rights of someone else, if the owner of that property notifies the City that the property was posted in a comment on the City's social media account(s).

The Thomasville Police Department was proud to support the Drills for Skills youth football camp! 🏈💙

Our officers had a great time assisting with the event, connecting with families, encouraging young athletes, and even firing up the grill to serve hot dogs. We are grateful to the coaches, athletes, volunteers, and community partners who invested their time in helping develop the next generation both on and off the field.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Chief has a cool new shirt from our co-responder, Christine, to remind everyone that Mental Health Matters! We are so grateful for our Co-Responder program. It allows our officers to call a licensed mental health specialist on scene if they suspect someone they're dealing with is suffering a mental health crisis. Mental health matters, and we are grateful to have so many resources available in our community!
