At approximately 3:37 PM this afternoon, Fair Grove Fire was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles.

Car 43 arrived on scene to find a pickup truck and a landscaping truck involved in the collision. Engine 43 arrived shortly after and assisted with blocking a lane of travel while crews worked the incident.

One individual sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS for further evaluation.

NCSHP arrived on scene to investigate the accident. Once both vehicles were removed from the roadway and the scene was cleared, all Fair Grove units returned to service.

At approximately 9:57 this morning, Fair Grove Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles on Hwy 109.

Engine 43 arrived on scene to find three vehicles involved, with one lane of Hwy 109 shut down. Crews quickly assessed the occupants and determined that all patients were free from their vehicles with only minor injuries reported.

EMS arrived and assumed patient care while Fair Grove crews assisted with traffic control and scene safety. 45D held the incident until NCSHP arrived and the involved vehicles could be removed from the roadway.

Once the roadway was cleared, all Fair Grove units returned to service.

08/13/2026

At approximately 4:08 PM this evening, Fair Grove Fire Department was dispatched to assist Silver Valley Fire Department with a commercial structure fire.

Silver Valley crews arrived on scene to find a single-story, metal-frame welding facility with heavy smoke and fire showing. Due to the conditions encountered, the incident was quickly upgraded to a second alarm, bringing additional resources to the scene.

Tanker 43 and Car 43 responded from Fair Grove and, upon arrival, crews were assigned to gain access to the attic area. Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and active fire conditions and immediately began extinguishment operations.

Crews operated on scene for approximately two hours, working to extinguish the fire and check for any remaining hot spots or fire extension.

Fair Grove crews are beginning to clear the incident and return to service at this time.

Strong work by all departments and personnel who responded and worked together throughout the incident.

At 9:40 p.m. this evening, Fair Grove Fire was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident. Engine 45 arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle T-bone collision. Engine 43 arrived shortly after and assisted Engine 45 crews with patient assessments and checking for any fluid leaks or other hazards.

Crews are still operating on scene in the area of County Line Road. Please use caution if traveling through the area and be alert for emergency personnel and apparatus.
