❤️🇺🇸 September 11 - 25th Anniversary Remembrance
The primary focus this week is the 25th anniversary remembrance of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The community came together at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery for a meaningful ceremony honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the countless individuals whose lives were forever changed by the events of 9/11.
Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations - Thomasville, Thomasville Fire & Rescue, Thomasville Police Department NC, and numerous other agencies and community partners worked together to make this 25-year remembrance possible.
The ceremony included participation from public safety personnel, veterans, community leaders, families, and residents. The American flags, fire apparatus, ceremonial honors, and other tributes provided an appropriate setting for remembering the sacrifices made that day and in the years that followed.
A special thank-you goes to Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery and Sechrest-Davis for their leadership in organizing the event, as well as to every agency, organization, employee, volunteer, veteran, and community member who participated.
Twenty-five years later, the importance of remembering those we lost, honoring those who served, and recognizing the courage and unity demonstrated in the aftermath of September 11 remains as significant as ever. The keyword moving into the weekend is “Love”.
