❤️💛 Happy Grandparents Day from TCS! 👵👴🐾

Today, we’re celebrating some very special members of our TCS family—our grandparents and special loved ones! ❤️

Across our three elementary schools, our youngest Bulldogs recently welcomed their families for special breakfasts, lunches, activities, hugs, smiles, and plenty of memories made together.

Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of our children. They are encouragers, storytellers, teachers, cheerleaders, and some of their biggest supporters. Their love, wisdom, and presence help shape our Bulldogs in ways that last far beyond the classroom.

🎥 On this Grandparents Day, we’re sharing a few of our favorite moments from these special celebrations.

To all of our TCS grandparents and special loved ones—thank you for showing up, loving our kids, supporting our schools, and being such an important part of their story.

Happy Grandparents Day from your TCS family! ❤️💛🐾

❤️💛 Saturday Shoutout: Bulldogs Supporting Bulldogs! 💛🎗️

This Saturday, we’re giving a special shoutout to our Jerger Elementary family for recently going GOLD to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

Jerger held a special Hat Day fundraiser for Christina, raising an incredible $2,500 for her family! 💛 At the beginning of September, gold bows also went up around Jerger as a visible reminder of the love and support surrounding families who have experienced the journey of childhood cancer.

This is what makes TCS special. We are Bulldogs. We are family. And we show up for our families. ❤️💛🐾

Way to go, Jerger! What an incredible example of the heart of our Bulldog community!

🇺🇸 More Moments from a Morning of Remembrance

Earlier today, we shared a glimpse of our TCS students, staff, and community coming together for a special 9/11 remembrance run down Jackson Street. As we look back through more photos from the morning, we wanted to share a few more moments that captured the spirit of the day. ❤️

It was a meaningful reminder of the courage, service, sacrifice, and unity we honor on September 11—and of the importance of passing those values on to the next generation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in remembering and honoring together.

We remember. We honor. We stand together. 🇺🇸❤️💛

🥜❤️💛 Friday Feels: We’re NUTS About Peanuts! 🐾

It’s Friday, and here in South Georgia, we have plenty of reasons to celebrate one of our state’s favorite crops—PEANUTS! 🥜

Today, our TCS School Nutrition team is joining the statewide Power Up with Peanuts celebration, highlighting Georgia-grown peanuts as part of school meals.

A BIG thank you to our South Georgia farmers who work hard to grow the food that helps fuel our students and communities! 🚜🥜❤️💛

Georgia grown. Bulldog approved! 🐾

🇺🇸❤️💛 Patriot Day | We Remember

Today, Thomasville City Schools joins our nation in observing Patriot Day and remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who answered the call to help—and we remember the spirit of unity and compassion that brought our country together.

May we continue to teach the next generation the importance of service, courage, kindness, and remembering.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

🧬❤️💛 Bulldog Scientists at Work! 🔬🐾

Our Thomasville High School Honors Biology students recently took science from the textbook to the lab in Dr. Broadie’s class, extracting DNA from strawberries! 🍓🧬

After learning about macromolecules and phospholipids, students put that knowledge into action to see firsthand how biologists isolate DNA. And the learning doesn’t stop there—Dr. Broadie’s AP Biology students will take the extracted DNA even further, investigating whether the strawberries were genetically modified.

Hands-on learning. Real-world science. These Bulldogs are thinking and working like scientists! ❤️💛
