๐Ÿฉบโ˜€๏ธ Summer Learning in Action! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿฉบ

Learning doesn't stop when school is out, and seven Thomasville City Schools students recently had the opportunity to expand their knowledge and explore future careers in healthcare through the Opportunities Academy at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).

Throughout the week, students gained hands-on experience alongside healthcare professionals and PCOM faculty, participating in activities such as CPR certification, Stop the Bleed training, suturing, intubation, anatomy labs, sports medicine techniques, career exploration, and college readiness workshops.

We are especially proud that five of the participants are members of our Athletes in Medicine program, while two students represented Ms. Peralta's class.

Our students also earned special recognition during the academy:
๐Ÿ… Ruby was named Scholar of the Day
๐Ÿ… Jaden and Kaylin recorded the fastest times in the Stop the Bleed Challenge

At Thomasville City Schools, we believe learning happens everywhere. Opportunities like these help students discover their passions, explore future career pathways, and bring our Bulldog +1 mission to life.

Congratulations to all seven students for representing Thomasville City Schools so well and making the most of this incredible summer learning experience! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿพ Another Fantastic Week of B.A.R.K.! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ“š

Learning, growing, and having funโ€”that's what B.A.R.K. is all about!

This past week, students continued building important literacy and math skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Ms. Harris' kindergarten group worked on subitizing and number identification, helping our youngest learners strengthen their number sense and confidence with math.

Meanwhile, students in Ms. Augustine's first-grade group stayed busy learning, collaborating, and exploring new concepts through a fun STEAM project as they continue their summer learning journey.

We are so proud of the hard work, enthusiasm, and growth we're seeing from our Bulldogs this summer. Keep up the great work!
