How do we follow up our biggest summer reading ever? With our biggest giveaway ever!

All throughout September you can earn entries into a raffle for a Charlotte Hornets pennant SIGNED by Kon Knueppel! The rookie (and former Duke Blue Devil) phenom led the entire NBA in three-pointers this year, finishing second in the Rookie of the Year vote. The pennant comes with a certificate of authenticity directly from the Charlotte Hornets organization.

We've got several ways to support your favorite local library and earn raffle entries. Visit us at 14 Randolph Street (there's one raffle entry right there!) and see a staff member for more information.

It's National Library Card Sign-up Month! Whether you've never had a card before, yours has wandered off, or your faithful and weathered card needs a fresh update, September is the time to come by the Thomasville Public Library for a FREE library card or card replacement!

If signing up for a new card (or if it's been a long time), make sure to bring your photo ID and prove of residence (either current address on ID or a mailed bill or lease agreement establishing you at your residence).

We can hardly believe we're saying this, but our FINAL program of Summer Reading closes things out this evening! We'll save our big goodbyes to Chairassic Park for later (hint hint), but tonight we're focusing on finishing our Dungeons and Dinos one-shot adventure strong.

Our first course of Seasoned Seams put our veteran sewing savants to the test! Check out these awesome (super-sturdy) bags they constructed over three sessions. We've been tearing through programs and blazing through pages all summer. But now we come to:

The BIG winners.

A huge thank you to ALL our adults and teens who participated this year (we'll be sharing some record-breaking numbers with you very soon). The prize competition was fierce, but in Chairassic Park, there is only room for a few at the top of the food chain!

We hope you have enjoyed this year's Summer Reading as much as we have! We have a couple final programs Monday, then we'll have a proper Chairassic send-off next week. Then, it's on to a jam-packed fall. Stay tuned!
