This Memorial Day, the members of the Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance Corps join our community in pausing to remember, honor, and reflect.

We stand in deep gratitude for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness secure the freedoms we cherish today. As we serve our community at home, we carry their legacy of duty and sacrifice in our hearts.

Thank you for answering the call at all hours of the day and night.Thank you for stepping away from your families, your jobs, and your personal lives without hesitation.Thank you for showing up on the hardest days, in the toughest moments, when our community needs you most.

Your commitment, compassion, and selflessness do not go unnoticed. You are the steady presence in times of uncertainty, the calm in chaos, and the reason so many people receive the care they need when it matters most.

This community is stronger, safer, and better because of you.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we are incredibly grateful for everything you do, today and every day.

Today at 1:00pm the Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance Corps Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department Thomaston Police Department will be doing a moc drill at Thomaston High School rear parking lot.

The Prom Promise is a voluntary, life-saving pledge made by high school students to remain sober and avoid drugs, alcohol, and distracted driving on prom night. It is a proactive, often school-wide initiative aimed at ensuring students make safe decisions during the celebratory season, fostering a memorable experience rather than one marked by tragedy.
