Another exciting investment in Thomaston-Upson’s future!

Today our community celebrated the groundbreaking for Elliott Crossing, a new Smith Douglas Homes community that will bring 90 new single-family homes to Thomaston.

With homes expected to start around $160,000, Elliott Crossing will create new opportunities for working families, first-time homebuyers and others who want to put down roots in our community.

We congratulate the City of Thomaston for recognizing the need for additional housing and working deliberately to address it. Through the State of Georgia’s Rural Workforce Housing Initiative and partnership with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the City helped create the conditions for this private investment to move forward.

We were also pleased to have representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development join today’s celebration and speak about the importance of expanding housing opportunities.

Congratulations to the City, Smith Douglas Homes and all of the partners who helped make today’s groundbreaking possible. We look forward to watching Elliott Crossing take shape!
