The 3rd annual Junior Muster has been completed! We would like to thank all the departments who came and supported our largest muster yet! There was some great teamwork and competition between everyone. And a special thank you to .ct for partnering with us to put this on.

Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department Annual Carnival and Parade
The Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department Annual Carnival will take place Wednesday, July 29, 2026, through Saturday, August 1, 2026. The carnival opens each night at 6:00 PM, with the grounds opening at 5:30 PM on parade day.
Enjoy your carnival food favorites, including hot dogs with sauerkraut, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, sausage burgers, French fries, fried dough, fried Oreos, chicken tenders, chicken tenders with Buffalo sauce or BBQ sauce, corn on the cob, and roasted peppers and onions for your burgers. We will also have ice-cold soda, water, and beer available.
This year, we will be serving our famous roast beef sandwiches on Thursday and Friday. Our fresh beef is slowly roasted and seasoned to perfection right on the carnival grounds.
Fireworks are scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026, at 9:00 PM. Be sure to join us for parade day on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 5pm the carnival opens at 5:30 PM on parade day.
If you or your business would like to become a Carnival Sponsor, your donation will help cover the cost of fireworks and essential equipment needed to make this event a success. Donations can be mailed to Thomaston Fire Department, 245 South Main Street, Thomaston, CT 06787. Please write Carnival Committee in the memo line. We will post your name on our sign as our sponsor during the carnival.

We are also blessed to have former and current members who have served both our country and our community. And for this we thank you.

The Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department invites our area businesses, civic and non-profit organizations to our annual parade to be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with a start time of 5PM. This year we are celebrating the Nation's 250th Birthday. And for our firefighters throughout the state there will not be a Convention Parade this year so we hope that your department will join us and represent your town.
Our annual carnival begins on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and runs through Saturday, August 1, 2026, with festivities opening each night at 6PM. On parade day, the carnival will open at 5:30PM to welcome attendees early.
Fireworks are scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026, at 9PM, promising an exciting display for all to enjoy.

With prom season in full swing, the TFD, TVAC, TPD, and THS Drama Club partnered to put on Prom Promise. A mock crash was put on to warn students about the dangers of driving under the influence and distracted driving. Great work to all those involved.
