Neva update! We are so happy they gave this girl a chance!! She just needed a family that had a little patience! Her sister Nyxie is still waiting for her chance at a home and is available for adoption :) She also needs time to settle in and learn, but is a sweet girl!

Just wanted to give you an update on our puppy, Neva, that we adopted a couple months ago!
She has adjusted so well and is the sweetest girl! She loves being outside in the yard, going for golf cart rides, playing with her brother, and getting belly rubs. She loves going on walks now and even went camping last weekend with no issues! She is still nervous about new people, but has successfully adjusted to many of our family and friends who have come to meet her. Her favorite toy is a rubber ducky that she will throw around and roll all over. She is our daughter’s best friend and the greatest gift after losing our dog in March 🤍

We are excited to share that Pennington County Humane Society has been awarded a $3,000 grant to support our Transport Program & Safety Upgrade project! Many of our crates have seen better days!

Our heartfelt thanks go to Jon and Metta Belisle family whose generosity through the Valley Impact Compassionate Animal Fund made this possible. We are also deeply grateful to the St. Croix Valley Foundation for supporting us with this important grant program and helping animals across our region.

This funding helps us move animals safely to partner rescues with higher adoption rates, with better access to veterinary care, and allows us to keep saying yes— giving more pets the chance to find loving homes. Thank you for believing in this work and making a real difference for our animals!!

Meet Penny
Penny can be unsure of new people at first, but once she feels safe, her friendly and affectionate side shines. She’s a smart girl who already knows how to sit, lay down, and shake, and she enjoys showing off her skills for the people she trusts. With a little patience and kindness, Penny becomes a loyal, loving companion.

Penny is available for direct adoption or transfer to a trusted partner.
