Last Thur, I had a chance to chat and spend a little time getting to know Ms. Debra.
She’s a Pro, and has been selling and working markets, all over the South and beyond for ~30 years. Although she’s a local gal and enjoys selling at regional markets, like LV Farmers Market she spoke of some of her experiences. As we visited, she reflected and shared stories, such as a time she worked a 3-day gig up in Tennessee and about some of the lessons she has learned over time.
Her husband often works along side her and they have two chihuahuas. I asked which of her treats she preferred, or if she had a favorites…
She said she enjoyed them ALL. I pressed on by asking: “If you were stuck on a deserted island and you could only choose 3, which would you choose?”
She just chuckled and smiled goodheartedly… she was a good sport! Putting up with my antics… ☺️😌☺️
During the recent Thur afternoon market, she had an array of sweet treats (see pictures for details on types/flavors), baked goods, and a few other items for sale.
Swing by and say “hello” the next time you see her set up at the Laurel Valley market!!
