Today, we proudly celebrate 168 years as an organized fire company serving the City of Thibodaux — 168 years of answering the call, protecting our neighbors, and carrying forward a tradition built on brotherhood, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication.

From the earliest bucket brigades to the modern era, our members have put in countless hours of service and training, always pushing to be better, faster, and stronger for the community we love. That commitment shows in everything we do — from our new and improved equipment, and community support operations.

Every generation of Fire Company #1 has added something to the legacy. Today’s members continue that mission with pride, honoring those who came before us while building something even greater for those who will follow.

Here’s to 168 years of courage, progress, and brotherhood — and to many more years of serving Thibodaux with heart and purpose.

Andre Bourgeois, #1 member, and son of Honorary Chief Ron Bourgeois, graduated from the PA program at Mississippi State! 🐶

Race Bourgeois. #1 member, and son of Honorary Chief Josh R Bourgeois, graduated in Occupational Medician at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans 🐯
