With Mayor Estenson-Trailblazer Days Has Arrived!
The weekend has finally arrived, and with it comes the long-anticipated Trailblazer Days celebration. This event is shaping up to be an absolute gem of the summer and a fitting way for our community to celebrate America 250.
You may have already noticed the activity picking up around town. As visitors arrive, let's do what Thermopolis does best, welcome them, make them feel at home, and show them why this community is such a special place.
A huge thank you goes out to the countless volunteers, organizers, sponsors, businesses, and community members who have put in long hours to bring this event to life. These events don't happen by accident, and they certainly don't happen without people willing to step up and make them happen.
I, for one, am incredibly excited.
Be sure to check the event information that has been shared on this page so you know where to park, where shuttle service is available, and when the many activities are taking place.
Upcoming Council Meeting:
Council will meet this coming Tuesday evening. The primary item on the agenda will be the third reading of the Town's annual budget.
Council will also discuss touchdown fireworks for Bobcat football games. I intend to treat this discussion a bit like a workshop within the regular meeting. We learned a lot from last season, and this will be an opportunity to discuss what worked well, what concerns were raised, and how we might move forward in the future.
Bobcat Update:
Congratulations to the Bobcat Football Team on winning the Border Battle at their football camp in the Black Hills this past week.
More importantly, from everything I've heard, they represented our school and our community exceptionally well. Well done, Bobcats.
Whether you're attending the parade, enjoying the festivities at the fairgrounds and museum, floating the river or simply visiting with friends and neighbors, I hope everyone has a wonderful Trailblazer Days weekend.
Take care of each other, and God Bless.
