I'm about a month a way form starting my third pottery class night, 6pm-9pm. I will teach on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

I've seen lots of different results with Tommoku Gold and seems the firing schedule changes this one a lot.
Here's mine, adapted from E1 I believe:

100*/hr to 200* hold 2hrs (depending on any moisture still in glaze)
500*/hr to 1000* no hold
150*/hr to 1300* no hold
500*/hr to 1978* no hold
150*/hr to 2215* 3min hold
999*/hr to 1900* no hold
100*/hr to 1400* no hold
250*/hr to 400* no hold

Just started the first week of a year long Journey Workshop with Steven Hill, StevenHillPottery.com. It was a great week in upstate NY. Can't wait until December when we meet again in NJ, then back to Saratoga Springs next June for our gallery opening.

Journey class with Steven Hill. We work though our clay skills and find the ones we are most creative and expressive and HAPPY doing. Then we Skype monthly to show our progress and next year we come back together for a final group critique and a gallery sale and open house.
