Today I got to stop by the Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce Health, Wellness & Fitness Expo at Town Green Park, and it was awesome to see so many people in our community focused on living healthier, stronger, and better lives.

Events like this are a great reminder that we have so many incredible local businesses, providers, vendors, and wellness leaders right here in The Woodlands who are passionate about helping people take better care of themselves.

If you’re in the area, go check it out, meet some of the vendors, learn something new, and find a few ways to invest in your health and wellness.

Grateful to live in a community that continues to bring people together around things that truly matter. 🙌

Grateful for the opportunity to spend some time with the NHA Development Committee this morning.

Really enjoyed the conversation and the chance to share a little bit about what we’re working on at The Woodlands Township—and how we continue to protect what makes this community so special while finding better ways to improve it.

The Woodlands didn’t become one of the top communities in the country by accident. It’s the result of strong leadership, thoughtful development, and incredible partnerships.

Appreciate the work this group is doing and the role they play in shaping the future of our community. Looking forward to continuing the conversation.

It was great seeing everyone at the Woodlands Economic Development Partnership’s Elected Officials Reception. It is encouraging to see leaders from across Montgomery County united around the vital role economic development plays in our community.

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors met on Thursday, February 19, 2026. During the meeting, the Board approved a letter of support for The Boring Company’s Request for Proposals for a tunnel project. The Township’s draft concept, known as “The Current,” includes two parallel 12-foot diameter tunnels designed to potentially transport passengers in electric vehicles beneath the Town Center corridor near The Waterway, connecting key destinations and enhancing mobility during peak periods and major events.

The Board also approved the charter and appointments for the new Ad Hoc Village Centers Committee, which includes three Directors and three residents serving in an advisory capacity. The committee will focus on engagement and coordination related to the village shopping centers.

🌟 Following a near-record year for tourism, we recently held our Annual Meeting, where we reviewed an independent study on future tourism capacity and announced our 2026 Visit The Woodlands Board. In 2025, more than $10.3 million in hotel occupancy tax was collected, the second highest year on record, highlighting the strength of our visitor economy. The study confirms The Woodlands remains a highly desirable, year-round destination and identifies opportunities to support future growth.

We’re excited to announce our 2026 Officers and Board of Directors, including Chairman Linda Nelson, Vice Chairman Cindy Heiser, Secretary/Treasurer Cameron Klepac, Directors Jennifer Gohagan, Noemi Gonzalez, Township Director Adam Lamb, Kim Lowe, Monique Sharp, and Nick Wolda as President.
