We had a wonderful veterans Thanksgiving dinner. The STEP barbershop quartet performed to everyone’s delight. All enjoyed the dinner and the veterans loved not just their welcome gifts but the door prize drawings.

Tuesday we honored our Girls State attendees. They received certificates from the unit as well as congressional certificates from Congressman Crenshaw and Congressman Luttrell. Each congressman donated a flag that flew over the Capitol for door prize drawings for the girls.

ALA unit 305 members joined with Conroe Bible Church in their annual Hearts 2 Serve event. We worked on projects to support various local ministries. Back-to-school bags were assembled for local teachers, bags for homeless were assembled, stuffed lions were decorated for first responders to give to kids in crisis, military letters writing was done, candy jars for veterans were created, and a variety of other projects were completed at this event.

Our new Department president and vice president both come from our district 7! Congratulations Sharon and Leigh-Anne.
