Grab your chalk, unleash your creativity and celebrate America 250 with a splash of red, white and blue! The Woodlands Township is inviting residents of all ages to participate in Let Freedom Chalk, a community-wide patriotic pathway chalk art contest that will transform pathways throughout The Woodlands into colorful displays of American pride.

Free chalk packs containing 10 pieces of chalk will be available for pickup at The Woodlands Township Town Hall front desk beginning Monday, June 22, through Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Do you have a child between the ages of 4-12 years who loves the outdoors and is curious about the animals, plants, and stories hidden in our local parks? If so, sign them up for the Junior Park Ranger Program! 🌳

The program kicks off with Orientation on June 24, 2026 and concludes with a special Graduation Ceremony on August 5, 2026. Participants will complete the Junior Ranger Challenge Book (full of games, puzzles, and activities) and upon graduation they will receive an official Junior Ranger Badge and T-shirt.

Visit the Township pools in any order and ask the front desk for the High Seas Adventure clue. Solve the riddle, snap a photo at the location and use the QR code provided with the clue to upload your photo and track your progress.

The more pools you visit, the greater the reward! Adventurers who complete seven pool locations will receive a free High Seas Adventure T-shirt *while supplies last. Those who solve the riddle at all 14 pools will earn an exclusive T-shirt and be entered for a chance to win a 2027 season pool pass. 💦
