🚧 Westside Interceptor Phase 2 Update
Beginning Monday, June 22, traffic patterns will temporarily change as crews complete final paving and striping work associated with the Westside Interceptor Phase 2 project.

✅ Webber Street (between River Road and W 2nd Street) will reopen to traffic on June 22.

🚧 Union Street access to the Port from W 1st Street will be closed June 22–26 while crews complete final paving and striping. Alternate access routes to the Port will remain available.

🚧 On June 26, Webber Street will briefly close for final striping before reopening later that day.

Thank you for your patience as this important infrastructure project nears completion. Please follow posted traffic control signs and use alternate routes as needed.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED SPECIAL ORDINANCES

Pursuant to the City of The Dalles Charter, Chapter VIII, Section 31 notice is hereby given the City Council proposes to adopt, using the method of reading by title only:

Special Ordinance No. 26-613, a special ordinance accepting a dedication of right-of-way on Chenowith Loop Road for public street purposes; and

Special Ordinance No. 26-614 annexing the property into the City of The Dalles pursuant to ORS 222.125

The proposed special ordinances will be available for public inspection as an agenda item in the City Council Regular Meeting agenda packet, available on the City website www.thedalles.org/Agendas no later than June 15, 2026.

The ordinances are proposed for adoption at the City Council Regular Meeting of June 22, 2026 to be held in person at City Hall, 313 Court Street, The Dalles and Live Streamed at 5:30 p.m.

Public viewing of the live meeting is available online at www.thedalles.org/Agendas.

🚧 City Project Update – June 2026 🚧
Here's a look at progress on two major infrastructure projects underway in The Dalles:

🔹 Federal Street Plaza Project
Work continues on the future plaza site. Contractor Ajax NW is currently completing alterations to the Transportation Building. Crews are also carrying out much of the demolition work within Federal Street and installing new sanitary sewer and storm drain improvements that will support the plaza and surrounding downtown area.

🔹 Westside Interceptor Phase 2
Installation of the new sanitary sewer and storm drain mains has been completed. Contractor Crestline Construction will begin preparing the project area for paving next week.
