· To interact with Federal, State, and City legislative bodies, departments and employees who are responsible for volunteer law enforcement
activities.
· To publicize the work and good acts of Auxiliary Police Officers of the City of New York through awards, scholarships and public and official

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of retired Auxiliary Assistant Chief Dolores Roque.

Chief Roque dedicated more than 50 years of service to the NYPD, leaving an enduring legacy of commitment, leadership, and trailblazing achievement. Throughout her career in Manhattan North, she rose through the ranks with distinction, serving in a variety of roles and earning the respect of all who had the privilege to work alongside her.

In October 2024, she made history as the first member of the Auxiliary Police program to be promoted to the rank of Assistant Chief by then-Police Commissioner Thomas Donlon—a testament to her unwavering dedication and pioneering spirit.

Chief Roque’s impact on the department and the Auxiliary Police program will not be forgotten.
