Yesterday, DA Clark gathered with communities across the Bronx to remember those lost on September 11, 2001 and those who have passed due to 9/11-related illnesses in the 25 years since. From Morris Park to Concourse, and Riverdale to Throggs Neck, many came together to reflect on the bravery and courage that carried New York City through that painful time and make sure we Never Forget.

Twenty-five years ago, our city was struck by terror and was forever changed. We remember the 2,977 lives lost. We honor the courage and vigor of the first responders and those who risked their lives to help. We stand with the survivors, many of whom are still dealing with the consequences of that tragic day. And we will NEVER forget.

Juan Valoy stole over $80,000 from at least 24 victims in the Bronx through his rental scam scheme. Now, he's sentenced to four years in prison. If you have information on this or a similar case, contact the Bronx DA's Civilian Complaint Unit at 718-590-2300.

Some also sat down with her to have a candid conversation about initiatives spearheaded by BXDA that aim to ensure public safety.

DA Clark joined Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch, NY/NJ HIDTA Executive Director Chauncey Parker and her fellow District Attorneys to announce that the NYPD has removed more than 3,000 guns off New York City streets since January. 782 of those fi****ms were seized in the Bronx. The milestone was marked on the fifth anniversary of the Gun Violence Strategies Partnership, a multiagency initiative that focuses on the most dangerous offenders to drive down crime.
