Students who wish to transfer to Thackerville Public Schools from another district for the 2026-2027 school year may begin submitting their application through the Oklahoma State Department of Education open transfer portal.
Any transfer in grades 9-12 that participates in athletics must be in the open transfer portal and either be accepted or on the waitlist to participate in summertime activities. The OSSAA allows a a one time change of school hardship if they meet the following criteria.
A student who has established athletic eligibility at a member or non-member school may apply for an exception to Rule 8 provided:
a. The student has not changed schools since entering the 9th grade while residing in the same residence and participated at any level at more than one school;
b. The student continues to reside with the parent and or guardian;
c. The new school can provide documentation that the student was either approved for enrollment at the receiving (new) school or placed on a waiting list at the receiving (new) school on or before July 15th
