🇺🇸 25 Years Later, Trice Remembers. 🇺🇸
Twenty-five years ago today, our nation experienced a day that changed our history forever.
For our Trice students, September 11, 2001, is history. Not one of our students was alive that day. Many of their parents were babies or young children, and even some of the teachers who inspire and guide our students today had not yet been born.
They don't remember where they were.
They don't remember watching the news.
They don't remember the fear and uncertainty that filled our country.
But they can remember the lessons. ❤️🤍💙
They can learn about the lives that were lost and the families forever changed. They can learn about the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and ordinary citizens who showed extraordinary courage. They can learn about neighbors helping neighbors and a nation coming together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
At Trice Academy of Performing Arts, we believe in nurturing the whole child—not only helping our students grow academically, but helping them become caring, courageous, compassionate human beings.
That means teaching our children that history is more than dates and facts. It is about people. It is about choices. And it is about the kind of world we choose to build.
Twenty-five years later, we remember those we lost.
We honor those who served and sacrificed.
We are grateful for the heroes who ran toward danger when others were running away.
And we carry the lessons of that day forward by teaching our children to lead with kindness, courage, compassion, and unity.
Our students may never be able to remember September 11, 2001.
So we will remember for them.
We will teach them.
And we will help them carry the lessons forward.
