Since joining T-Line as a driver in October 2015, Sandra Gulley-Pickett has worked her way through several roles, gaining experience in daily operations and taking on greater responsibilities. Today, as T-Line Operations Coordinator, she helps oversee drivers, coordinate tasks and keep transportation services running smoothly.
Gulley-Pickett began her career with the organization on Oct. 5, 2015. Through hard work, dedication and experience, she advanced to Operations Supervisor in 2021 before transitioning to Operations Coordinator in 2022.
In her current role, Gulley-Pickett oversees drivers to ensure they follow company procedures and provide safe, reliable service. Her daily responsibilities include monitoring driver performance, addressing operational issues, auditing fare collections for accuracy and completing required reports, logs and records. She also communicates with drivers and management to coordinate daily activities and maintain efficient operations.
For Gulley-Pickett, one of the most rewarding aspects of her position is the opportunity to serve the community while supporting her coworkers.
"What I like most about my job is the opportunity to help the public and make a positive impact," she said. "I also enjoy working with my staff, supporting them, and making sure we work together as a team."
Outside her professional responsibilities, Gulley-Pickett places great importance on family memories and personal values. If she could save one nonliving possession from a house fire, she would choose her photographs and keepsakes, which hold irreplaceable memories of time spent with family.
Reflecting on the advice she would give her 13-year-old self, Gulley-Pickett emphasizes perseverance, integrity and faith.
"I would tell my 13-year-old self to continue working hard and never give up on my goals," she said.
Her advice also reflects the values she considers important: treating others with respect, remaining honest and trustworthy, staying true to one's beliefs and trusting that hard work and perseverance will pay off.
