DISCOVER EXCELLENCE | Razorback Choir

Arkansas High School choir students are putting in the work as they prepare for the All-Region Choir competition on October 3 in Bryant. During a recent after-school rehearsal, Choir Director Tyrell Dennis worked with students on sight-reading, tempo, and performance technique as they sharpen their skills for competition.

DISCOVER EXCELLENCE | AHS Pig Pantry Receives Regional Recognition

The Pig Pantry at Arkansas High School, operated through EAST at AHS, has earned regional recognition from Harvest Regional Food Bank.

During Harvest Regional Food Bank’s annual luncheon kicking off National Hunger Action Month, Carla Phares and the AHS Student Pantry received the 2026 Pantry Leader of the Year Award in recognition of outstanding commitment and dedication.

Through the Pig Pantry, Arkansas High School students are serving others and helping meet needs within their school community.

Congratulations to Gatlin Brown, TASD Information Systems Specialist and our August 2026 District C.A.R.E. Employee Recognition Honoree.

DISCOVER THE IMPACT | Serving Our Community

TASD Student Council members showed up in record numbers for the 4th Annual Fall Keep Arkansas Beautiful Cleanup Day, joining volunteers to help clean streets and public spaces throughout Texarkana.

Through hands-on service, our students helped beautify neighborhoods, promote environmental stewardship, and strengthen community pride, putting leadership into action and making a difference in the place we call home.

Thank you to Kari Valentine, Arkansas High School Student Council Advisor, for supporting our students and creating opportunities for them to serve.

Razorbacks don’t just belong to their community. They help make it better.

Grandparents and special guests play an important role in the lives of our students, offering encouragement, wisdom, support and a steady presence as they learn and grow.

Across TASD, our elementary campuses are honoring these special relationships through Grandparents Day celebrations that bring generations together and welcome families into the school experience.

We are grateful for the grandparents and loved ones who continue to be valued partners in learning and in the lives of our students.
