New signage is up!

The University Police Department has updated the signage at the Central Plant building, located at 7113 University Avenue, just behind the BASS Building.

The new design matches the decals and badging recently added to our patrol vehicles, helping create a consistent and recognizable University Police presence across campus.

Over the coming months, we'll be introducing you to the officers of the Texas A&M University-Texarkana Police Department and providing a closer look at the many services, responsibilities, and programs that support our campus community.

From patrol operations and criminal investigations to special events, emergency preparedness, student assistance, crime prevention, and community engagement, there is much more to our department than what most people see day to day.

Tonight's campus foot patrol looked a little different.

Officer Gardner set a goal of walking 10 miles today in recognition of Memorial Day. More than 19,200 steps later, that goal was met.

We pause to remember and honor the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

As Memorial Day approaches, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Each fold of the American flag carries meaning, but the final fold, the one presented to a grieving family, often speaks louder than words.

We honor the fallen, remember their sacrifice, and recognize the families who carry their legacy forward. Their service and devotion to our country will never be forgotten.
