🚧📲Report-a-Concern Notice📲🚧

As of October 1, 2024, the Report-a-Concern system will no longer be available. We have posted a transition notice on the website for the last several months informing the public of this coming change. Moving forward, please use MyGov TXK for all service requests, work orders, and reporting issues.

MyGov TXK offers an easy-to-use platform where residents can:
•Submit service requests
•Track work orders
•Report issues directly to the appropriate city departments

This system ensures faster response times and better communication for all requests. You can access MyGov at: public.mygov.us/tx_texarkana.

Hey Texarkana! We’ve seen many questions regarding our Rotary Splash Pad and when it will be ready. We know this is a summer favorite for many of our residents and we are just as excited as you are to kick start another great summer at Spring Lake Park. We are currently waiting on back-ordered parts and special paint to make necessary updates and repairs to the Rotary Splash Pad. We anticipated these parts to be in months ago, however like so many others, we are at the mercy of a slow supply chain. We assure you our maintenance crew is doing everything they can to get the Rotary Splash Pad open as quickly and efficiently as possible. We will be giving another update once we are closer to an opening date.

Make sure to follow along on our socials and website at www.texarkanatexas.gov/227/Parks-Recreation so you’re always the first to know about updates as well as upcoming events and programs like our Summer Movies In The Park! ☀

As the City of Texarkana is preparing to celebrate their 150th anniversary, the Texarkana Farmers’ Market is preparing as well! We will be attending the TXK 150 celebration on Saturday April 15 from 11-6. We will be on the Stateline at the Federal Courthouse ready to share about your local farmers market.

Small businesses are the heart of our city and we love being a place where local farmers come and connect with the community.

Come out tomorrow and say hi! My name is Sarah Thrash. I am the Market Manager and I also have a family farm.

I will be ready to answer any questions you might have about the market, our vendors, and our mission. We want the market to be a place to share our home grown naturally raised food while also being a fun destination on Saturday mornings.

Our offices will be closed this Friday, April 7th, in observance of Good Friday. We will resume normal business hours on Monday the 10th.

UPDATE: 12/4/22 at 3:45p - 911 is back in service and fully operational now.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

UPDATE: 12/3/22 at 5:25p - Please do not call 911 to see if your phone is working. You’d think that we wouldn’t have to say that, but we’re getting a lot of those types of calls. We have to keep our one working phone line available for emergencies.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

UPDATE: 12/3/22 at 3:45p - Texarkana is now able to receive 911 calls with limited information - but only on one line. We still do not know when full service will return.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

911 and all landlines coming into our communications center are currently down. This is a region wide issue that appears to also include 911 calls going to the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, Miller County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS in Texarkana, and New Boston Police Department.

If you have an emergency, please call 903-490-4432. It’s a single cell phone so you may have to call back if you get a busy signal or it goes to voicemail. The dispatchers are doing their best to answer all calls as they come in.

We have no idea what caused the outage at this time or how long it’s going to be down.
