A New Look for the Plymouth Police Department 🚔

You may notice a new look on the road! The Plymouth Police Department has begun introducing gray Dodge Durangos into our patrol fleet, a change from our traditional black Ford Explorers.

These new vehicles are part of the department’s budgeted fleet rotation and replacement program, replacing older patrol vehicles that have reached the end of their service with the department. The Durangos also provide a more cost-effective option as we continue maintaining a safe, reliable, and modern fleet.

Different color. Same mission. Same commitment to Plymouth.

🇺🇸 Patriot Day | September 11th

Today, the Plymouth Police Department joins our community and our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the civilians whose lives were taken far too soon, and the countless men and women whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the courage, sacrifice, unity, and selflessness shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we never forget those we lost, those who answered the call, and those who continue to carry their memory.

The Plymouth Police Department’s Annual Trunk or Treat is back! Mark your calendars and join us for an afternoon of Halloween fun while helping support the Plymouth Community Food Pantry.

Each year, this event brings our community together for a great cause, and we’re looking forward to making 2026 another great turnout!

🎡 Terryville Lions Country Fair Weekend 🎡

It’s Country Fair weekend! As the Terryville Lions Country Fair gets underway, the Plymouth Police Department would like to share a few safety reminders to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

Safety Reminders:

- Please use extra caution when traveling near the fairgrounds and be alert for increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

- Keep a close eye on children and consider establishing a designated meeting location in case anyone in your group becomes separated.

- Secure valuables and remember to lock your vehicle before heading into the fair.

- Be patient when entering and leaving the area, particularly during busy periods.

- If you see something that concerns you or need assistance, please don't hesitate to approach an officer.

Plymouth Police officers will be present throughout the weekend to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

📋 Fair Rules & Regulations:
The Terryville Lions Country Fair has provided the following reminders for those attending:

🍺 No alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the fairgrounds.
🐕 Dogs and pets are not permitted, with the exception of service animals.
📄 Distribution of literature or materials by vendors, organizations, groups, or individuals is restricted to assigned spaces on the grounds.
📢 Personal paging is not available. Guests should arrange a designated meeting location with their party upon arrival.
🚗 Concessionaire and exhibitor vehicles are not permitted on the fairgrounds beginning 30 minutes before operating hours through 30 minutes after operating hours.
🔥 Propane use by concessionaires must be approved by the Superintendent of Grounds Concessions, and tanks are subject to inspection before use.

🚨 SEEKING INFORMATION 🚨

The Plymouth Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual involved in a suspicious activity complaint on Maple Street.

On August 2, 2026, officers received a complaint from a resident on Maple Street reporting that, at approximately 3:00 AM, an unknown male approached the rear door of their residence and appeared to be checking whether the door was locked. Two additional individuals were also observed in the area and may have been acting as lookouts.

If you recognize the individual pictured or have any information regarding this incident or the other individuals observed in the area, please contact the Plymouth Police Department.

Seeking Information - Mailbox Thefts

The Plymouth Police Department is seeking information on thefts from mailboxes in our Industrial Park located off of Preston Road. On 7/25/2026 at approximately 12:51 a.m., two people in a small sedan, possibly red, went through mailboxes and stole over $20,000 in checks made out to various businesses. These checks will mostly likely be washed and cashed.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from the Plymouth Police Department! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate the Fourth of July with family, friends, and fireworks, we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday.

A few reminders to help keep the day safe:
• Never drink and drive—plan for a sober ride home.
• Be mindful of local fireworks laws and leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
• Keep a close eye on children around fireworks, grills, and pools.
• Stay hydrated, especially if you’re spending the day outdoors.
• Be courteous to your neighbors and remember that loud fireworks can be stressful for veterans, pets, and others in our community.

Late last night, Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance responded to a cardiac arrest call. Thanks to the fast actions of everyone on scene — and truly exceptional teamwork — we were able to restore the patient’s heartbeat during transport.

Moments like this don’t happen because of one crew. They happen because an entire network of responders moves as one.

A heartfelt thank‑you to:

Northeast Fire Rescue for seamless support and coordination

Trinity EMS medic for outstanding care and professionalism
