Guys Who Give - Vigo County

Guys Who Give is a group of philanthropic men dedicated to making a positive impact on Vigo County, IN. Only nonprofits that serve Vigo County are eligible.

Members of Guys Who Give meet on a quarterly basis to nominate, advocate and select a nonprofit organization to collectively support. Each member agrees to donate a total of $500 per year of membership. The first $100 is added to the Guys Who Give Endowment fund in the Community Foundation. The reamining $400 is used to support the four nonprofit organizations selected throughout the year ($100 at

each meeting). Here's how it works:

Each member can put his name and the name of an organization he would like to have considered in a drawing at each meeting. Three members' submissions will randomly be selected to give a 5 minute presentation advocating for their agency, followed by 3 minutes for questions. At the end of the presentations, members will vote on which organization they would like to see funded. The organization with the most votes will be announced as that quarter's grant recipient. Each member will then make a $100 contribution to the selected organization. Once an organization has been selected, it is not eligible for funding for 2 years. Note: To be eligible for consideration, the organization must be a 501(c)3 or government entity. Nonprofits affiliated with religious organizations are eligible as long as the services address a societal need and are not restricted based upon religious affiliation. Controversial and political nonprofits will not be considered.

We are just one week away from our first Guys Who Give meeting of 2026! We look forward to seeing everyone on March 18 at Rick’s Smokehouse.

Social time begins at 5:15 PM, with the meeting to follow shortly after. This is a great opportunity for guests to attend, learn how Guys Who Give works, and see the impact we are making in our community. We hope to see you there!

Guys Who Give - Vigo County is composed of men who share a common desire to give back to their local community.

Members commit to donating $500 per year of membership. The first $100 supports an endowment in the Wabash Valley Community Foundation that will be used to serve future opportunities in the community. The remaining $400 is used to support the four nonprofits selected by members throughout the year ($100 at each meeting).

In an attempt to engage more young professionals in Guys Who Give - Vigo County, an opt-in membership has been created for members 40 and under.

Members 40 and under: choosing this option will result in an annual contribution of $250 ($50 as the membership commitment, which goes into the endowment fund; $50 each quarter).

Local nonprofit organizations need your support now more than ever, and joining Guys Who Give - Vigo County is an excellent way to make an impact!
