Teams of 8-10 compete to pull a fire truck one hundred feet in the shortest amount of time! A Fire Truck Pull is simply that, tie a rope to a fire truck, get together a team of eight, and pull the fire truck 100 feet as quickly as possible. Only one team pulls a truck at a time and each run is timed. The team with the fastest time wins. There will be two rounds, so overall; each team has two oppor
tunities to pull the truck. This event is to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Indiana, which holds an event each year here in Terre Haute. Special Olympics athletes will be at the event, with the opportunity for some to participate on teams in pulling the truck, and for some to help with speeches and awarding prizes. There will be two divisions this year; college, and Terre Haute community. The entire event will be set up as a family oriented fun day, with multiple other activities besides the main fire truck pull going on throughout the day.
