This Thursday, during EMS week, is dedicated to promoting Stop the Bleed, public CPR training, and other life-saving programs that empower our community to act in an emergency.
No matter how quickly EMS professionals arrive on scene, bystanders are almost always there first. Save A Life Day encourages everyone to learn simple but critical steps that can help save a life before first responders arrive.
We are proud of our firefighters and EMS personnel for leading these CPR and Stop the Bleed classes and helping make our community safer, stronger, and better prepared. Thank you to everyone who took the time to learn these valuable skills!

This EMS Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible EMS personnel for everything you do. Every shift, every call, and every patient interaction makes a difference in our community. Your hard work, dedication, and compassion never go unnoticed.

EMS Week is celebrated each year to honor EMS professionals and to recognize the important role they play in emergency care and public safety. It’s a time to show appreciation for the people who are there during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for always being ready to answer the call. We appreciate all that you do every single day to keep our residents safe!

We’re just 17 days away from the start of Hurricane Season!

A special thank you to our Public Works Department for staying ahead of the game by ensuring our hurricane shutters are fully operational and ready to go with no delays. We truly appreciate all of your hard work and dedication in helping us prepare for the upcoming season!

Now is the perfect time to start checking those garages, overflowing junk drawers (yes, we all have one), and the toolbox you promised yourself you’d organize this spring. Be sure to locate any bolts, screws, or other hardware you may need to install your shutters.

It’s also important to find your shutters early and inspect them for any damage. Taking a little time now can help make installation quick and stress-free when the time comes!

It is International Firefighters’ Day and the Chief’s Office and the Village of Tequesta proudly honor the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our community every single day.
Your courage, dedication, and selfless service do not go unnoticed. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting our residents, or standing ready at a moment’s notice—you are the backbone of our safety and strength.
Thank you for all that you do, today and every day. We are grateful for your unwavering commitment and proud to stand behind you.

PATs have come and gone for Tequesta Fire Rescue! PATs aren’t just a requirement—they’re a critical measure of a firefighter’s readiness to protect lives and property. Every lift, climb, and sprint reflects the strength, endurance, and resilience needed to respond when the community needs it most. These tests ensure that when emergencies happen, firefighters can perform under pressure and keep both themselves and others safe. This week, Captain Raymond Giblin completed his final PAT as he will be retiring soon!

What a beautiful start to our Thursday morning! We had the absolute honor of taking Elle to school today. From riding up front to honking the horn, she did it all like a pro! Thank you, Elle, for letting us be part of your morning — we hope it was one to remember!
