‼️Update‼️

We have been in discussion with the local Emergency Management Agency this afternoon regarding the severe weather threat that is expected to come through our area tomorrow. We have made the decision to shift to an at-home learning day for Monday, March 16. This decision was made with the best interest of students and staff in mind. Please monitor ParentSquare and Google Classroom for specific instructions from your child’s school. We anticipate returning to normal operations Tuesday, March 17.

Thank you,
Timothy May, Superintendent

Possible Ice Storm Overnight – Please Use Caution

Forecasts indicate a potential ice storm overnight, which could create dangerous road conditions by morning.

A few reminders that are just plain good sense:

• Stay off the roads if you can. Ice doesn’t care how experienced you are.
• Slow down and increase following distance if travel is necessary.
• Avoid bridges and overpasses , they freeze first and stay slick longer.
• Check on elderly neighbors or those who may need assistance.
• Charge cell phones and devices in case of power outages.
• Have flashlights ready, candles and ice storms don’t mix well.
• If lines are down, stay away and report them.

Deputies will be on patrol, but prevention is always better than response. The safest decision is often staying put until conditions improve.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and share updates as needed.

Please use good judgment and stay safe.
