Tenino School District

Tenino School District Our city is rich in history, with the first settler to arrive in 1849. We’re a close-knit community that supports quality education.

Tenino, Washington, population 1,900, is a bedroom community located 26 minutes south of Olympia and about an hour and a half west of Mount Rainier National Park. Our rural District consists of two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The faculty and staff at all of our school sites are excellent motivators, who encourage and educate their students with enthusiasm. We have h

igh expectations for our students, and they have always risen to the challenge. We truly believe that Tenino School District is a great place to learn and grow.

✨Retiree Spotlight - Mrs. Colleen Davis✨

Mrs. Davis has been teaching in Tenino since 2008 -- most recently teaching in the Special Education classroom at Tenino Middle School. She will miss the small town and community but will miss the students most of all! Mrs. Davis hopes to be able to travel the country with her husband in their RV. 🛣️🧳🧭

Thank you for your dedication to Tenino for many years! Wishing you all the best in your retirement!

Centralia College Mobile CTE Lab visits Tenino Middle School

After Spring Break, 8th grade students were given a fantastic opportunity with hands-on learning to explore careers in skilled trades and technical fields.

The lab is a 53-foot truck and trailer equipped with advanced technology to deliver hands-on career and technical education (CTE) directly to students and schools alike. It features virtual reality experiences and interactive simulators for fields such as welding, forestry, and heavy equipment operation. Students explored in demand career pathways through immersive, real-world learning experiences.

We were also honored to host Senator John Braun and Representative Peter Abbarno, who stopped by to see our students in action!

A huge thank you to Mr. Bill Sullivan and Centralia College for providing such a valuable experience to our students!
