We couldn’t be prouder of our CTE Teacher Jason Thoren!

It would be my distinct pleasure to introduce you to our Career and Technical Education New Teacher of the Year, Mr. Jason Thoren. Collaborating with Mr. Thoren is a true privilege, one that I deeply cherish. Daily, I witness his unrelenting commitment to advancing CTE education and motivating students in Ten Sleep, as he spearheads a vision of excellence that yields outstanding results. Thank you Mr. Thoren for being a rock in our district, for our students, and someone I get to look up to. Congratulations !

Hayden Phelps went out to explore the Colby Mammoth site, just east of Worland with the University of Wyoming archaeology and geology crew. While doing research for his Junior research project, he was invited to come out on a dig site and took advantage of the opportunity. Dr. Briana Doering, Dr. Maddie Mackie, and Dr. Kelli Moran were amazing and took the time to give him an overview of the site history and then put him to work doing research… sub surface, geology, ground penetrating radar, ground truthing… it was pretty fascinating. Hayden also got to meet Dr. Richard Adams whose work and writing helped fuel Hayden’s ideas for his research project- pretty great day.
