Today is Primary Election Day for Meigs County, TN. (This is where political parties individually select their candidates through the election. To vote you will be asked to choose a party. For example if only 1 democrat and 1 republican are running in the Primary, then there will be no clear "winner" today; instead, their race will be determined in the August General Election. Also, if a candidate ran as an independent, they will not be on the ballot until the August General Election.)
For Ten Mile and the 5th District you will be asked to select two County Commissioners. Because our district, like the others, is represented by two County Commissioners. It is your right to only vote for the one candidate you want to support or you can select two, your vote and your choice.
If you live in Ten Mile and the 5th District, you will vote at the Ten Mile Community Center located beside the Ten Mile Fire Hall. GPS Address: 325 Euchee Rd, Ten Mile, TN 37880
Polls are open from 9am to 8pm.
It has been an honor to serve the 5th District and represent you on the County Legislative Body. I am praying that our county will elect wise-servant leaders today and in the coming elections.
