🚨 Applications are currently being accepted for residency at the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home in Temple.

Eligible Veterans with a 70% or higher service-connected disability may live at the home for free.

All of our Texas State Veterans Homes are Texas-owned and regulated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Texas VLB has an on-site representative in each home to ensure our distinguished long-term residents get the best possible care.

Last week, we held a special Valentine's Day party for our Veterans at the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home!

We all felt the love as we enjoyed great company and plenty of delicious treats and refreshments.

Also, thank you to the wonderful kids of Chaparral High School - Bobcat Battalion for bringing Valentine's cards and spending some quality time with our residents. ❤️

Texans, let's show some love to our Veterans this Valentine's Day! ❤️

Commissioner Buckingham is encouraging everyone to participate in the VLB's "Valentines for Vets" campaign.

Help us honor and show our appreciation to the brave men and women who served our country by mailing a Valentine's card to the Veterans who reside in any of the 10 Texas State Veterans Homes.

All cards should be postmarked by February 10th and include 'Valentines for Vets' in the mailing address.
