We kicked off our Labor Day weekend with a wonderful celebration of some of our most special Tiger family members—our amazing grandparents!

Grits With Grands was a huge success! We loved welcoming our Tiger families to campus and connecting with them over a delicious meal together. Our incredible cafeteria staff served up an amazing 576 grits and biscuit meals!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. We are grateful for the love and support of our Tiger families!

2nd grade QUEST students had an awesome field trip to STEM Day at the PAC! Students enjoyed an entertaining science show with The Science Machine, learned about polymers from the Chemistry Department at UWG, made tornados and clouds with GSU’s BioBus, created monsters with Dr. Scurr from THS, explored constellations in the Star Lab with Mrs. Cathy from GYSTC, studied all about plants with Mr. Cherry from the THS Ag Department, sampled real honey while observing bees in their hive, and experimented with buoyancy using fruit with Farm Bureau. Its’s a great day to be a Tiger!

🌎🏗️ Earthquake-Proof Tower Challenge! 🏗️🌎

Our 5th graders put the 4 C’s—Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Critical Thinking—to work as they designed and built their very own earthquake-proof towers!

Their challenge? Build the tallest, strongest tower using just 1 foot of masking tape, 10 marshmallows, and 40 toothpicks. 🌟

The creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance were amazing to watch! They were completely engaged, worked together, learned from their mistakes, and—most importantly—had a whole lot of fun learning! 💙

Just another fun day in 5th grade! 🥰🔬🏗️

Our little learners had a busy week full of learning, creativity, and lots of fun! 🌈📚

🔤 We practiced letter sounds and worked hard on our handwriting skills.
🟢 We learned all about sorting using colorful Fruit Loops! 🌈🥣
📖 We learned about the amazing Bill “Bojangles” Robinson while reading Rap a Tap Tap: Here’s Bojangles—Think of That!
👞💃 To end our week, we were treated to a special tap-dancing performance by Mr. Vohun! What a wonderful way to bring our learning to life!

We’ve been busy becoming Math Masters 🧮, turning into Sight Word Wizards 🪄, rocking our Math Stations 🎲, and growing as readers during Hello Literacy Groups 📖!
So many lessons taught, skills practiced, questions answered, laughs shared, and little victories celebrated. 💛
