We want to thank the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL) for the opportunity to attend their Delegates Conference 2026. We were able to discuss the benefits of LARFPA membership and answer a lot of questions from the attendees.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and those who became new members.

Looking forward to 2027!

September 11, 2001 - We Will Never Forget
Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.
We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger while others tried to escape.
For the fire and law enforcement community, September 11 is more than a date in our history.
It is a lasting reminder of courage, sacrifice, service, and the bonds among those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
Today, LARFPA joins our first responder community and our nation in honoring the fallen, remembering their sacrifice, and carrying their legacy forward.
Twenty-five years later, we still remember.
We will always remember.
Never Forget

On August 29, 2026, the Los Angeles Fire Department, along with family and friends, gathered in Santa Carlia to celebrate the life of Tiula “T” Nua—a man whose presence, service, and spirit left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Tiula was the proud middle child of eleven, a role that shaped his steady, dependable nature. In 1983, he married Patty, and together they built a beautiful family of six children who became the center of his world. For 33 years, Tiula served the Los Angeles Fire Department with dedication, courage, and humility. His commitment to protecting others was matched only by the joy he found in simple, meaningful moments—desert camping, dirtbike riding, relaxing at the beach, cooking, and spending time with friends.

During the ceremony, the fire bell was rung ten times by his grandchildren, a powerful and touching tribute to his decades of service with LAFD. It was a beautiful celebration of a life lived with purpose, generosity, and heart.

Los Angeles Retired Fire and Police Association extend our deepest condolences to our friend “T” family, and love ones. Director “T” will be remembered to our membership not only for his service, but for the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the legacy he leaves behind in his family and in the fire & police community.

May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort in the memories and the profound impact he made throughout his life.
