Officer and State Committeeman elections will be held at our next LD8 meeting.

Nominations are now open for 31 State Committeeman positions and all district elective offices. All qualified LD8 PCs are encouraged to step forward and serve.

- First Vice Chair (Membership & PC Recruitment)
- Second Vice Chair (Programs & Speakers)
- Third Vice Chair (Fundraising)
- Fourth Vice Chair (Website & Social Media)
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- State Committeeman (31 positions)
Qualified LD8 precinct committeemen may nominate themselves or another current LD8 precinct committeeman.
Election timeline:
- Nov 3, 2026: Nomination form opens / announcement (LD8 Art. VIII Sec. 1.B)
- Nov 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM MST: Submission deadline for candidates to appear on the printed ballot (LD8 Art. VII Sec. 2.C.3)
- Nov 11-13, 2026: Nominating Committee verifies eligibility and prepares roster (LD8 Art. VIII Sec. 1.B)
- Nov 14, 2026: Official call letter issued with candidate list, 10-day rule (LD8 Art. VII Sec. 1.A.2 / Art. VIII Sec. 3.A.1)
- Nov 15-23, 2026: C&T Committee prepares written ballots (LD8 Art. VIII Sec. 2.B / Sec. 3.A.6)
- Nov 24, 2026: LD8 meeting and elections (LD8 Art. VII & VIII)
- Dec 1, 2026: Deadline to certify officer results to MCRC, 7 days (LD8 Art. VIII Sec. 3.B.7)
Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the November 24 meeting, but floor nominees will not be printed on the ballot.

Nominating another PC? Email Nominating Committee Chair Mason Hunt at [email protected] with the nominee's full name, email address, and office or position sought. The Nominating Committee will contact the nominee to confirm their interest and willingness to serve. Upon acceptance, the candidate will complete the formal submission form.
