Our Story
Started in 1983 as a foster home in Temecula for young girls, Rancho Damacitas has now grown to supporting foster children, challenged youth and young adults through four unique programs helping them move beyond their painful pasts and thrive as self-sufficient, contributing adults in our community. Rancho Damacitas provides Empowerment Village supporting single moms and their young children on the pathway to stable independent living; New Heights Scholarships provide educational support scholarships for Riverside County former foster youth empowering them to pursue their career goals; Project Independence offers former foster youth and challenged young adults stable housing, employment readiness, mentoring, and financial coaching to become productive, independent adults following a lifetime in foster care; and the Children's Enrichment Fund offering foster children and teens scholarships for extra-curricular activities or anything to help normalize their life while living in foster care.
The mission of Rancho Damacitas is to end the cycle of child abuse by providing comprehensive care and compassion for foster children, challenged youth, and young adults through life-enriching opportunities and strength-based, solution-focused programs and services.
Our vision is to nurture, empower, and develop self-sufficient, well-educated, healthy young adults who become thriving, contributing members of our community.
